The Cameo Spotlight Challenge #2

Published on August 25, 2012, by

What a terrific turn out we had at The Cameo Spotlight! So many wonderful cards it was a challenge in itself just to narrow the choices down. If you’d like to see who made it into the SPOTLIGHT hop on over to TCS after you’re done here. Our theme for this challenge is numbers. A very special boy had a birthday recently and this is what I created. A simple no frills brightly colored boy card.

You’ll have to go check out what the other designers created! The variety is AWESOME!!! Hopefully their creations will inspire you to create something of your own. We look forward to seeing your card or tag in the SPOTLIGHT!

Published on June 21, 2012, by

Are you ready to hop along for a chance to win all 6 new stamp sets from The Craft’s Meow? To be eligible you will need to visit and comment on each blog on the hop. The deadline to comment is 9:00 PDT, Sunday June 24th. (Remember that the awesome Summer Fun set is June’s gift with a purchase of $50.) I used the super sweet Stitched Flowers set to create the background for this card. If you’re hopping along you should have ended up here from Chupa’s blog and now you need to pay Jean a visit.

The Craft’s Meow May Preview Day 4 of 5

Published on May 20, 2012, by

I had so much FUN making these cards!!! I really love the stamp sets they are both versatile and a blast to use! The first card uses the set called Retro Foundations. The backgrounds you could create with this set are endless! The second card uses the stamp set called Typically Teen designed by Karen Baker. I have to say—I LOVE all the new release sets but this one is my FAVORITE! Typically Teen is May’s Gift with a $50 purchase from The Craft’s Meow. I can safely say you won’t regret picking up this set because it can be used in so many ways.

Click HERE to check out all the details and to see what the rest of the TCM Design Team has created! (If you leave a comment you will be eligible to win each stamp set featured in a day from TCM. If there are 2 sets in a day, there will be 2 winners!) Tomorrow is the TCM BLOG HOP!!!  I’ll have another card to share with you using the Typically Teen stamp set! Hint, think PINK!

I’m submitting the second card to the CAS-ual Fridays Punchy Challenge. The focus of this challenge is to use punches or dies. I’ve used a circles punch to create my word window. I also used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper—hmmm is that considered a punch?

I also had the Splatter Technique Challenge over at Moxie Fab in mind when I made the second card. I’ll be adding it to the list today. Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2012 Challenge is open for entries and the theme is Encouragement. I’ll head on over there and submit the second card in this post.

RetroSketches #4 and The Craft’s Meow

Published on March 24, 2012, by

This week at RetroSketches we are using a sketch based on one of my previous cards. If you would like to see which one click HERE. I also wanted to take this opportunity to feature a special stamp set from The Craft’s Meow. It’s called Thanks Bee to Thee and it’s available as a gift with a $50 purchase. I LOVE this set—you can do so much with it! You’ll have to go check out the different approaches the Design Team used when they created their cards! I stamped the “Happy” in the sentiment, “Happy bee-lated Birthday” on the front and then the inside of the card could be stamped with the remaining words or could be switched out for another word all together to fit the occasion. I’ve also decided to submit this card into the Hexagons/Honeycomb Pattern Challenge over at the CREATE blog. It’s been a while since I played along in one of Paige’s challenges.

TSG Numbered Days and Birthdaybot Blog Hop Challenge

Published on February 21, 2012, by

Today is day 1 of the There She Goes Blog Hop Challenge! I will be back tomorrow and Thursday with more cards featuring the soon to be released TSG stamp sets. In this card I cut out a negative shape and tucked the cloud paper behind so that the white balloons could float over the top. Customizing this card design would be fun and easy. Just change out the numeral and the number of balloons to coincide with the age of the child you are making the card for.

We have all had a loss for words…but have you ever had a loss for numbers Torico’s new illustrated set brings the numbers to the forefront. With two sets of numbers to color, paper piece, or be creative with ink Numbered Days is the set for you to send those birthday and anniversary wishes

Numbered Days is a 4×6 set that includes a total of 37 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

Friendbots, Lovebots, Nursebots, and now Birthdaybots. Torcio has been hard at work to bring us another fabulous bot! Is this bot ever cute. What a fabulous way to send out birthday wishes to your little bot.

Birthdaybot is a 3×4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Would you like to win the new Numbered Days and Birthdaybot stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

Happy 3rd Birthday There She Goes!

Published on September 29, 2011, by

Today is my turn to GIVE AWAY A MINI STAMP SET from There She Goes Clear Stamps! All you need to do is leave a comment and I will pick one winner using Random.org. There She Goes is turning 3 and Jessica has been celebrating all month. If you love to take advantage of a great sale and would like to check out the challenges visit There She Goes Clear Stamps. Don’t forget to visit the other Trendsetters blogs and comment on their TSG’s Birthday Posts. Just look for the There She Goes Birthday Icon like the one below. Each Trendsetter will choose a winner from her blog on October 1st.

In celebration of There She Goes turning 3 I have made a birthday card with the Zoo-pendous Stamp Set. I can’t get over how adorable this stamp set is. I have used the peacock and the giraffe in previous cards. Now it’s the cute little snakes turn to make his appearance.

This week’s challenge at the CREATE Blog is to use 3 different border
punches. I have had my eye on their challenges for a while now and this one piqued my interest. The border punches I used are Grass by Fiskars,
Leave it to Weaver
by Fiskars & Dotted Wave Edger by EK Success Brands.

Polka Dot Blooms Card

Published on September 18, 2011, by

Hi Everyone! Circumstances in my life are changing and I may not be able to blog as frequently as I have in the past. I’m going to try to post at least a few times a week. Well, that’s my goal anyway. ;) Just rolling with the changes and trying to be flexible. Here is a card I made today with a stamp set from There She Goes Clear Stamps called Polka Dot Blooms. I enjoyed the interactive design and look of my last card with a pocket so much, I wanted to create another one.

Splash Happy Birthday Card

Published on July 31, 2011, by

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend! After creating some cards with a lot of layering and texture, I needed to change it up a bit and go with something a little more clean and simple this time. I stamped the Big Timber Line letters from Technique Tuesday  onto patterned paper called Splash by Echo Park Paper Co.
(I don’t list supplies on the weekends but will provide them for anyone that requests them either by email or in a comment.)
