CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #9

Published on December 13, 2012, by

Here we are on #9 of our CTS challenges, time sure does fly by quickly! Today we have a sketch I created. It works well turned in any direction. You could hang ornaments, turn it upside down and use trees or flowers or turn it sideways and they become branches. You could get funky and create something abstract. I decided to embrace my new-found LOVE for washi tape and create a vibrant and fun Christmas card.

The CTS Design Team has created a huge variety of wonderful cards to share with you! Hop on over and take a peek, maybe you’ll see something that will spark your imagination!!! Hope you’ll play along before we go on our Holiday break!

A Sakura Flowers Thank You

Published on April 29, 2012, by

How is everyone’s weekend going so far? Today I have another card I made using my Silhouette Cameo. I was looking for some flower images on the Silhouette Online Store to create a card for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge and found these gorgeous Sakura Flowers. The challenge is to create a project with flowers or trees. I created a card with a tree the other day—so today it’s flowers. I’ll let you in on a little secret . . . the centers of the flowers in the cutting file were too tiny to cut properly. So I searched high and low in my stash for a stamp to use that would have the same look. My Hohoho stamp set by There She Goes has 4 snowflakes and 2 worked perfectly! Don’t you just love being able to repurpose stamps in an entirely different way than what they were intended for?

Saying Goodbye to TSG . . .

Published on March 1, 2012, by

A quick post to let everyone know that I’ve decided not to stay on for another term at There She Goes. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Jessica’s talented and fun design team! I would like to thank Jessica from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to design with her fantastic products. I have some other opportunities that I would like to explore and have to consider balancing my responsibilities to family, work and new design team activities.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

TSG Numbered Days and Birthdaybot Blog Hop Challenge

Published on February 21, 2012, by

Today is day 1 of the There She Goes Blog Hop Challenge! I will be back tomorrow and Thursday with more cards featuring the soon to be released TSG stamp sets. In this card I cut out a negative shape and tucked the cloud paper behind so that the white balloons could float over the top. Customizing this card design would be fun and easy. Just change out the numeral and the number of balloons to coincide with the age of the child you are making the card for.

We have all had a loss for words…but have you ever had a loss for numbers Torico’s new illustrated set brings the numbers to the forefront. With two sets of numbers to color, paper piece, or be creative with ink Numbered Days is the set for you to send those birthday and anniversary wishes

Numbered Days is a 4×6 set that includes a total of 37 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

Friendbots, Lovebots, Nursebots, and now Birthdaybots. Torcio has been hard at work to bring us another fabulous bot! Is this bot ever cute. What a fabulous way to send out birthday wishes to your little bot.

Birthdaybot is a 3×4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Would you like to win the new Numbered Days and Birthdaybot stamp set? Bon Appetit – CAS-ual Friday Challenge #38

Published on February 5, 2012, by

A quick post to share a card I made for the CAS-ual Friday’s On the Red Carpet Challenge. The challenge is to use a movie as inspiration for a card. I had to think about this one for a bit . . . and finally decided on the movie Julie & Julia! Such a cute movie! Do any of you remember how Julia Child would end her cooking shows? So I rummaged through my stamp sets and found my Bon Appetit set by There She Goes. I used the fork, plate, knife and spoon from the set and then decided to generate my sentiment on the computer.

I have to get off the computer now and get ready for company! We’re having a little Super Bowl party later. Enjoy the game for those of you who like sports! If not, well, there’s always stamping! :)

Please hop on over to the TSG Blog to get the details. We’d love to see your interpretation of the inspiration photo!

I used the World’s Best stamp set illustrated by Melyssa Connolly and Jessica Knutsen for my card. The first thing I noticed about the photo was the tall vases, pink flowers and overall light airy feel. Makes me want Spring to be here already!
