I Love You Berry Much

Published on April 22, 2012, by

A quick post this morning to share a card I made for the April 19-May 2 Sparks Challenge. The inspiration photo is a delicious platter of waffle cones filled with fresh fruit! I used 2 digis that I picked up at the Paper Smooches Blog. I printed some extra images so I may create another version of this card incorporating that yummy waffle cone texture. I’ll have to see how ambitious I feel today!

The Craft’s Meow April Blog Hop Day 5 of 5

Published on April 21, 2012, by

This is my second post this morning. Today is the last day of 5 wonderful days of previews of the new stamps set from The Craft’s Meow! I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what the Design Team has created. If you leave a comment today you will be eligible to WIN ALL of the 6 NEW STAMP SETS from TCM! Now how exciting is that!!! To be eligible you’ll need to visit and comment on each of the blogs listed below. HAPPY HOPPING! (The Giddy Up stamp set is April’s Gift with a purchase of $50.00. The deadline to comment is 9:00pm PDT, Monday, April 23rd)

All of the Design Team Members could choose any of the new stamps to create their card for the Blog Hop. I decided to use the Vintage Rides stamp set. There are some great sentiments in this set that can be used all by themselves! I know some of you really love embossing folders as much as I do—so when I use them I’ll try to remember to mention the name and brand that I use. For this card I used the Wicker Weave Cuttlebug Folder by Provo Craft. I created the heart in my Silhouette Cameo. (If you’re looking for RetroSketches just scroll down to the next post.)

TSG Egg-stra Special Blog Hop Challenge

Published on February 23, 2012, by

Today is the last day of the There She Goes Blog Hop Challenge! I have 2 cards to share with you today! When I was sketching out designs for this card I had the idea of taking the smiley face from the Numbered Days stamp set and stamping it onto the egg to give it more personality. Isn’t he just the cutest little eggy you ever saw? :)

A-tisket a-tasket a green and yellow basket…Melyssa has created the most darling Easter stamp set! This mini-set will be sure to please that egg-stra special person. The sentiment fonts are so whimsically fun and you’ll enjoy coloring these Easter eggs. This is a must have set.

Egg-stra Special is a 3×4 set that includes a total of 9 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Would you like to win the new Egg-stra Special stamp sets? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday February 25th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

Merci Heart

Published on February 3, 2012, by

I have so many shapes that I had fun cutting, but never used. It was time to rescue some of those lonely bits and pieces and give them a home. The heart is a shape I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo and the Branch with Leaves is a die from Sizzix. The Merci stamp is by Lawn Fawn and I used my new Woodgrain Background stamp by Hero Arts again . . . because I LOVE IT! :) The Valentine’s Card Challenge over at the Create Blog inspired me to make this card. She has just recently featured some stunning cards and is asking for more Valentine’s Day challenge participants if you are feeling creative! I was also motivated by the Moxie Fab Cool Tools Week : Die Cutting Challenge. I’ve been using my Silhouette Cameo on a lot of my cards recently but kept forgetting to enter them into the Moxie Fab Challenge!

Lawnscaping Challenge #15

Published on August 3, 2011, by

I am entering this card into my very first Lawnscaping Challenge. I have my blog well underway and pretty much organized the way I want it, so now I can focus on participating in some fun blog challenges. This challenge is all about using a distressing technique. I sanded the edges of my cardbase and then used and edge distresser on the white border and the Lawn Fawn banner. I also used Distress Inks to stamp the banner and the sentiment. Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Butterfly Flourish Card

Published on June 27, 2011, by

Felt like stitching on a card today and this was the result. I stamped and embossed the flourish and the butterfly. I then stamped the butterfly on 2 different patterned papers and cut those out and attached to the embossed butterfly. I punched holes along the flourish and then stitched using embroidery floss. I finished the card off with a border punch and another piece of pattern paper.
