Just a quick post to share a card I made for The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC129. O.K. this was most definitely a CHALLENGE for me! I went round and round trying to make the colors like each other! In the end I decided to go with a CAS approach and then it finally felt right. I think the flower that I used is one of the images that comes with the Cameo. Can anyone confirm that? I’ll be back a little later this morning with my card for the next RetroSketch Challenge.

um, i LOVE this!! I am so happy to have found your blog…i LOVE your work!!
Love your use of the silhouette image, and the big dot background. Lots of texture but CAS. I am in the “A Cut Above” class and learning all about the silhouette, which seems daunting to me. I love my Big Shot though, so the Cameo seems to be by next step toward bankruptcy.
I’ll tell ya, I *always* use a CAS approach too with challenging colors! (though this week, it’s shabby chic but still CAS) I like that woodgrain circle, Jackie; it gives a lot of interest.
So glad you joined us at The Play Date Cafe this week.
Fab interpretation of the colours – the texture rocks
And you can never go wrong with woodgrain! Rx
This is great! I love the texture and how you used the negative cut of the flower.
sa.weet! love that cutout flower and the colors do work nicely with your cas design.
Those colours totally confounded me but you have rocked them! I love that funky flower!
